Roosevelt and Churchill had their first war summit meeting in Casablanca in January 1943.
The first Big Three conference was held in Tehran, Iran in November 1943. It turned out to be the most important summit of the war. In four days of meetings, Roosevelt, Churchill, and Stalin debated the second-front question and hashed out the basic outline of a postwar European order.
I’m really curious about this Polish historian’s name, because I can’t find anything even near “Warzokwic”… was it maybe “Wieczorkiewicz”?
And as for the swearing, I can’t really recognize the last word, however yep, the first word, “psiakrew”, translated literally really means “dog’s blood”, however it’s rather used as “damn”, “dang” or “heck”; “cholera” (second word) is also “damn” or “fuck”, third word appears to be “przeklęta” (“damned”), but I really can’t get my head around the last one 😀
Greetings from Poland, guys! 🙂
Hey NajtiNajn! Thanks for that info! Yeah my mother came across a website only a few months ago that contained some of that explanation of the swearing! But we didn’t get the przekleta or the last word, which sounded to my ears like “vognystia”, whatever that might be. The Polish historian was Paweł Wieczorkiewicz.
